Josh and I met on May 31, 2003. We “officially” became a couple on June 14 of that year. I can’t believe it’s been ten years since we met. I was 19 and he was 20; we had both just finished up the school year at our respective colleges. He didn’t even know what LMU was; he thought it was in Louisiana. One of our very first conversations was about not being in a rush to get married. Ha. That’s funny.
Over the span of the last decade, we have grown, changed, laughed (a lot), accomplished a lot of goals, attended weddings and funerals, and really enjoyed each other’s company. Also, sometimes we didn’t enjoy each other’s compa
ny, but we made it through with hard work and a lot of compromise. It’s hard to imagine that the two carefree kids we were when we met actually stayed together, got married, and have turned into this BORING set of parents!
I can’t imagine that more can happen in the next ten years than the amount that happened in the last. Actually I HOPE much, much less happens. Here are some highlights:
- We found and adopted Koal
- Josh graduated from college
- Josh bought a condo
- I graduated from college
- We traveled to the BVIs
- Josh got into Baja racing, did the Baja 1000
- We got engaged
- I got a job at Chapman
- We bought a Harley
- Josh got really into cycling (+/- lots of bikes)
- I got really into photography
- We remodeled the condo
- I quit my job at Chapman and got a new job at CDM
- We got married
- I got into cycling
- We traveled to Atlantis, Bahamas
- Josh was in a bad accident
- We bought a house
- We remodeled the house
- We went on a cruise in the Caribbean
- Josh got a new truck
- We remodeled the house
- We sold the Harley
- We remodeled the house
- We had a baby
- We remodeled the house
