At 27 weeks, baby O is the size of a large head of cauliflower: almost 2 pounds. He is 14.5 inches long. He sleeps and wakes at regular internals, opens and closes his eyes, and may even suck on his fingers. This is also the week that I could begin to feel hiccups, but I haven’t yet! His brain is very active, and while his lungs are immature, they could function outside the womb with medical assistance.

The new symptom for me this week could be leg cramping, from carrying the extra weight around…if only this site knew that I’ve been lifting, bending, squatting, carrying, crawling…I feel like I’ve been in boot camp putting things away in the kitchen! Oh that reminds me that I owe you all some pictures…sorry! I could work on this day and night (and do).
