Yesterday we went to Madison’s first birthday party. Madison is the granddaughter of my mom’s cousin Sandy (I believe she’s Jacob’s second cousin once removed?). Anyway, she’s soooo cute and her family is sooooo nice. Her western-themed party was gel on her grandparents’ ranch and Jacob got a lot of up close time with the horses. He fed them hay and petted them. They were so gentle and friendly and amazing.
Even when he tried to put hay in a nostril.

And Jacob was absolutely fearless and so fun to watch. He wasn’t intimidated by the huge creatures at all. Another mother with two kids said to me “I can’t believe how brave he is! He’s not scared at all! Neither of my kids will get near them.”
“Yes,” I said “he’s fearless.”
“I’m sorry” she said, and laughed. 🙂
