Josh and Korey

Little Jacob is getting to be so entertaining and fun. His sweet smile is infectious and you just can’t look away! He’s doing a lot of “talking” these days. It’s not easy to record because he mainly talks while making eye contact with you (he does think he’s communicating, after all!) and when I hold up my phone to record him, he doesn’t want to talk to it. I caught some of his coos and a cute sneeze yesterday. If you pay attention, while I’m saying “bless you” you can hear the funny sound he makes after he sneezes. It’s like he’s saying “whoa! that was weird!” 🙂

One afternoon, I was home and I heard the strangest sound. It was a sound I’d heard about, but had never heard firsthand. Even though I’d been told about it, I had a hard time believing what I was hearing. Josh had told me that he had heard a howl one day, unlike anything he’d ever heard. More like the sound of an injured animal, or a cow mooing. To his surprise, it was our dog. When I heard it, I also couldn’t believe my ears. When he hears the sound of sirens on Chapman Avenue, he responds with this strange bellowing sound. I finally captured it on video! Below you will find a video (boring visual) of my bathroom window.
