Phone pictures from paradise

Josh and I are back from Cancun and I am ready to share the pictures! For starters, here are the pictures I captured on my phone. The first is josh, Chris, and Christina checking in to first class for our flight! First class! I am forever spoiled for any other air travel.

I should have photographed better meals (this one wasn’t too exciting–it was a “snack”) because they were great. But here is an example of first class dining.

Cancun trip!
Here are the “real” pictures from our trip to Cancun (real as in taken with a camera)…
Playing cards in the special 6th-floor lounge.
Fancy dinner in the Mexican restaurant in the hotel.

Flaming coffee drink.
Trekking through the caves at Xplor. Such an amazing place!

Does the zipline harness make me look extra fat? I think so.
In between the zip lines on two circuits (22 total I think?) you climb a lot of stairs!

Looking down into a sinkhole that we will swim through later.

The same sinkhole from the top of a spiral staircase.

Rafting in an underground river

A small sinkhole open to the outside

Entering the huge sinkhole I pictured from above

And there is that spiral staircase!

Happy Halloween
As you all know, Halloween is my favorite holiday. Although I’m warming up to Christmas…but anyway…I have been way too busy to really prepare like I normally would for this great holiday, and we barely made it to the pumpkin patch! So sad! So to start your day off right, here is our trip to the pumpkin patch with the little monster.
We visited this pumpkin patch last year as well. Click here to see those photos. It was a very different experience this year. Last year our bald baby was crawling, not walking, and was not very interested in the pumpkin patch. This year, Jacob was running and yelling “pumkys!” He liked picking them up and moving them together (naturally, as he is Josh’s child, he would organize them). He LOVED putting his face in the holes of the wooden picture spots (what are those called?). He would run enthusiastically to them and stick his little face in whichever he could reach. He climbed on hay stacks, he yelled enthusiastically for the train, even saying “alllll aboard!”

I think this is the same exact expression he had last year!

I thought his expression, above, was quite fitting for the werewolf!
I have to interject here with another picture from last year:

Indian Summer
We took advantage of the warm days of October to go down to Old Man’s beach in San Onofre for an afternoon of surfing and BBQ’ing. We were joined by Josh’s parents, my parents, and our great friends Layton and Katie, with their daughter Elizabeth. Jacob and Elizabeth get along really well, so of course they were very cute. The weather was gorgeous, and we had a great time.
