I love vegetables, so I wanted to share this vision of our dinner.
First, beautiful brown button mushrooms from our CSA box. These were sautéed with onions and went atop a flatbread pesto pizza. We also had a spicy Asian soup (like a quick pho) with tofu topped with all the veggies you see here (and limes!) yum. Don’t you just want to go veggie crazy?
The Easter bunny visited Jacob for the first time this year (he thought Jacob was too little last year) and brought him this lovely basket. What a lucky little guy! Egg-shaped sidewalk chalk, wooden crayons, Easter egg weeble wobbles, a little stuffed bunny, and some Easter rainbow goldfish crackers.
Sugar-free Easter basket!
This year we colored eggs (well I did) and I chose to use a natural egg dyeing kit. I ordered it online from www.weecantooart.com. The colors are made using naturally-derived, food-safe vegetable and mineral ingredients. It is definitely not the same as food coloring, but I think they are pretty in a watercolor sort of way. Also they are sparkly, which is awesome.
P.S. I used brown eggs, so I’m sure mine are much less pretty than they could be, but brown eggs are what I had. 🙂
