I don’t say it often, because it feels like bragging, but I love my life. I am really, really happy, and this guy makes it possible. No one works harder than Josh. He makes the life we lead possible.

These are the moments II

Saturday night Jacob and I made each of us a bowl of frozen yogurt with strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles. Josh and I sat on the couch, and he pulled his little chair in between us to sit at the coffee table. He paused before touching his dessert and said “I really love you guys.”
Sigh.

Recuperating

After two days of not wanting much to eat, Jacob requested a Mickey Mouse pancake. So we made one. And after his bath I tucked him into my bed to warm up again. I think of all the mom jobs, spoiling a sick little one could be my favorite. 🙂

We have had a lot of big feelings around here this week. Being three can be hard. After trying unsuccessfully to nap for a while, I pulled Jacob up into my arms and wrapped myself around him, and he was asleep at last.

I think I could have filmed part of our evening as an advertisement for having children. We were driving along, blasting ZZTop (at Jacob’s request) so he could do his “robot dance.” He was rocking out in his car seat and yells out: “I’m a hot sauce! I’m a smoothie! I’m a toaster!”
