Random, mischievous deeds:
Last week at preschool, we only ended up with three students, so we had snack and playtime in the garden at St. Paul’s. 
Jackson made the beautiful necklace that Mrs. Young is wearing and had given it to her that day!
I updated the office a bit to give Jacob a better homework area and I really love how it turned out. Most importantly, Jacob really loves it!
I realized that I’ve never posted any pictures of the office, so let’s take a tour from blood red room to the bright place it is today:
I can’t believe this is happening. He is growing up so fast. And everyone tells you how they grow up so fast, but I’m saying it anyway because you can’t say it enough.
We were waiting on this wiggly guy to fall out, but of course it happened when I wasn’t there. 😢 Jacob was with Bop and Mimi. He was, of course, in good hands.
The tooth pillow that Grandma Verla made is under his pillow tonight. Hoping the tooth fairy will visit!
This post is an overview of our pre-Easter activities. We have been enjoying the season!

Jacob’s class had eggs in an incubator and watched them hatch!
Of course, as my kids will tell you, Easter isn’t just about eggs and bunnies! Jackie says “Jesus died on cross!” And Jacob knows every detail from the betrayal on. We went to church for the Easter service on Saturday and it was really wonderful and hopeful. I hope you all have a beautiful day!
We traveled again to Glamis, for what was our last time this season, and it was a perfect way to end the season.
We had Grammie and OT and Mimi and Bop with us, as well as friends Pete, Layton, and Brandon. Sadly, Brandon broke his collarbone on his very first ride. 😦
It was quite windy and cold, so we stayed bundled up and sandy, but it was so special for the kids (and josh and myself) to have all the grandparents there to share in the fun.
Jacob continued riding his quad with a mixture of reverence and bravery that make him seem like such a grown up boy. He respects the quad, and is careful of it, and meticulous about listening to josh’s instructions, and he follows closely in Josh’s tracks without a moment of hesitation no matter where josh leads him. If you know Jacob, you know that he is a careful and cautious boy, so his comfort on the quad is amazing to me.
Jackie, as usual, was a rough-and-tumble little ball of dirt and sand all weekend. He played until he was completely worn out, then fell right asleep. He enjoyed driving his race car, even though sand drifts were covering much of the campground roads.
Jacob earned favorite grandchild status on Friday night when he climbed into OT’s lap right after dinner and fell asleep. Naturally, OT had to go to bed…
I can’t tell you all how much I love my digital piano from josh! It has a full 88-key board and the keys are weighted to feel heavy and substantial like piano keys. It sounds marvelous, and the best part is that I can plug headphones into it and play while the kids are sleeping! (Actually the best part is playing again…pure bliss). I’m finding that I’m not half bad for taking more time away from playing than the amount of years I took lessons!
I am playing a lot of my old sheet music, but I am open to suggestions for places to get more and expand my repertoire. Any suggestions?
